Currently the most well known exponent of Traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate is Sensei Morio Higaonna, 9th Dan. Sensei Graham Ravey has trained with Sensei Higaonna in Japan for 12 years and now holds 6th Dan, and functions as Chief Instructor of the style in Australia. Sensei Terry Lyon is the highest graded instructor in Western Australia (currently 5th Dan).
